This first post is simply going to introduce ourselves and this blog to you, the reader! We are Vikkie and Lisa, the founders and owners of Crafty Valhalla and we are so happy you found us!
Let’s first go back to when we first met each other through the online community, SwapBot, where crafters swap crafts and craft supplies with one another. Vikkie, living in Norway, found it very difficult to participate in many swaps due to the lack of craft supply stores in Scandinavia, while Lisa, living in America, had no problem getting her hands on any supplies needed.
Late one night we were discussing how so many craft supplies are either not available in Norway or are simply too expensive. After a few long talks over the course of many nights, we decided it was up to us to help resolve this problem for the crafters of Europe!
This was wonderful for both of us because we both had dreams of someday starting our own businesses. From that point forward, we spent weeks doing research on and offline, talking to those close to us, and eventually a solid plan came together and Crafty Valhalla was “born”.
Crafty Valhalla is now a new craft supply e-store that will soon provide Norway and the rest of Europe with a variety of craft supplies at affordable prices. We only stock products that we ourselves would actually use and we can honestly recommend them to you.
Now that you know who we are and what Crafty Valhalla is, let’s talk about this blog. This blog will have many purposes and will be full of great information so be sure to check it often.
For the time being we will primarily use this blog to keep everyone posted on the progress we’re making on opening our e-store, www.craftyvalhalla.com. Just prior to and upon opening, we will have store specials that we will announce here on the blog and via our site newsletter, which you can sign up for now at www.craftyvalhalla.com.
